  • Forums Moving Within 24 Hours

    As announced earlier, the Warhammer Online forums will be moving to the Bioware Social Network. The old forums will be archived and will be made available at some future point. In the meantime, the new Warhammer Online forums at the Bioware Social Network site will be up and running within the next 24 hours.

    The final transition between GOA/Telecom and EA to bring back full control of Warhammer Online to EA is now complete according to a new press release. Under the new deal, publishing, subscriptions and operating will revert to Bioware-Mythic in the EU.

  • More Layoffs at Mythic

    Continuing the tumultuous series of events that have plagued Mythic since the launch of Warhammer Online in 2008, it appears that EA Mythic has been hit with a new round of layoffs this morning. Josh Drescher, a key player in the development of WAR and well known to fans, is no longer employed with EA Mythic as of 11AM this morning according to a tweet posted on his personal Twitter account.

  • Pink Dye Available in Support of Cancer Stricken Player

    We recently reported on a heartwarming event in which players on the Badlands server from both the Destruction and Order sides put down their swords and PBAOE bombs in support of Tinkerhell, a fellow Badlands player who is fighting breast cancer. Today, we've learned that Mythic has introduced a pair of new vendors to the game via a hotfix that will be selling a "very special shade of Armor dye" for a limited time. That dye, of course, is pink!

  • 1.3.5 Goes Live Today

    Mythic Entertainment has announced that patch 1.3.5 for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will go live today! Servers are currently down for the deployment of the patch which includes an entirely revamped City Siege system to be 100% RvR, resulting in a 24 vs. 24 battle which will last no longer than 2 hours.

  • Updated Bright Wizard and Sorceress Balance Changes

    Patch 1.3.6 was set to bring a number of significant balance changes to WAR, however, several of these simply could not wait and have been pushed forward to go live with patch 1.3.5. The changes being pushed up address the issue of PBAOE "Bomb" groups, as the developers anticipated that this tactic would really throw off the new City Siege experience.

  • Player Fighting Breast Cancer Supported by Community

    On Warhammer Online's Badlands server players on both sides of the fight have put down their swords momentarily and dyed their armor pink in support of "Tinkerbell" one of the server's natives who is fighting breast cancer.

  • Public City Siege Testing Begins Tomorrow!

    The 100% RvR City Siege changes that will be coming to WAR with the release of patch 1.3.5 have been in closed beta testing for some time now, but according an update posted to the WAR Herald us feeble folk will be able to get our grubby hands on the City Siege changes tomorrow, May 11th when they hit WAR's public test server, Warpstone.

  • Play Order and Destruction on the Same Server in 1.3.6

    Carrie Gouskos recently released her April 2010 Producer's Letter which focused on the upcoming 1.3.5 changes, as well as a number of community initiatives the Mythic team are focusing on, including Ventrilo developer chats. The real standout of Carrie's letter, however, were new details on 1.3.6. Carrie revealed that come 1.3.6 players would be able to create both Order and Destruction characters on the same servers.
