Yup , I quite like STO , I know there has been alot of hatred whipped up for it on forums ( especially this one ) but really its not that bad as far as I'm concerned. Champions online is pretty fun too. I've only really enjoyed playing STO so far , but hey everyone to their own opinion yes ?.

Also its helps to be a Trekkie or a Star Trek Fan.

Cryptic as a company though is different I guess, I think the customer service is pretty poor.

Just for the record they blocked a lot of accounts as a security measure. When I resubbed last month my account was perma blocked. I called and got it unblocked in about 5 minutes. Was your login name the same as one of your characters? That's most likely why.

Im sorry to hear this, that does indeed not settle well.  If your planning on playing GW2 though you will have to resolve it some how.

I'd be happy to pay 15 dollars for a months worth of game time, so why not let me use that months game time when it suits me ?. Like a week one month and an then a week a couple of months down the line etc, and as I said earlier , I for one think it would lead to more players.

Go play free to play mmo's instead pay to play seems simple enough then you wont have that problem.

I play sinds 99 mmo's with monthly payment and never forget or been billed more then i played lucky me then:)

 I think you maybe missing my point, recurrings subs if you want them ? Great , just give me more payment options is all I ask, everyone different and I think there should me more payment options to suit peoples different lifestyles or playtime or however you want to put it.

What Turbine have done with DDO and soon LotrO is a good solution to this. Instead of subscribing you just buy the stuff you want/need as you go.

 Yup totally agreed , it also seems that DDO is heathier than ever ! , I already have a lifetime Sub to Lotro so I guess I'm covered there , but Turbine are giving us 500 store points every month as sort of compensation I guess .

Are you complaining about monthly subscriptions in general? Or just the fact that renewal is automatic, leading to the possiblity of forgetting to cancel once you're done with the game? It's a little hard to tell.

Sure it would be nice to have the option to only buy a single month, with no recurring charge, but it's not that big of a deal. Seriously, you should be going over your CC bill every month and positively identifying each charge, hopefully leading to a "Oh yeah, I'm done with that game - time to cancel NOW." Just good money practice.

Offering less than a month at a time? Aside from the issue of the initial box price, which is kind of seperate, $15/month could be seen as a pretty good deal. Looking for a package that's less than $15 is starting to get a little cheap, especially considering the cost of a computer itself. Plus, considering the genre, you should at least stick in for a month before deciding that you don't like the game.

And regarding the selling of time by the hour, by simply buying unlimited use for the time period, it removes a lot of pressure to maximize each hour. Personally, I'd hate the idea of a situation where you start getting "Can't stop to talk, on the clock" in the game itself. Enough of that in RL, really.

 No I have no problem with monthly subs for the people that want them , and just adding a months game time without recurring sub would be a nice choice too , Its the lack of choices that I object to, and as I mentioned , if they can allow people to buy things such as indidual potions , character slots and such , why cant they let players buy as much or as little time in the game that they want or can afford ?.
